Before you land
Haneda Airport (IATA: HND) is Tokyo’s closest international gateway, about 30 minutes by train from the city center. It has three terminals: T1, T2 (domestic + some international), and T3 (international). Free shuttle buses connect all three.

Arriving & immigration
Haneda’s immigration lanes are generally faster than Narita’s, but queues still build during evening rush hours (18:00–21:00 JST). Visit immigration and customs QR codes can speed things up if pre-filled on your phone.
Getting to central Tokyo
The fastest rail options are the Tokyo Monorail (to Hamamatsucho, 13 minutes) and the Keikyu Airport Line (to Shinagawa, 11 minutes). Taxis cost more and take 30–60 minutes depending on traffic. Limousine buses serve major hotels but are slower than rail outside of peak road conditions.
